LONDON -- 20th July 2017
Developed for Tourism Ireland for the launch of their latest campaign, the app puts the Game of Thrones story right in the hands of fans.
Launched earlier this week to coincide with the airing of Game of Thrones season 7, the web app uses several cutting-edge technologies.
Fans can see Westeros come to life like never before as they explore a real life 77-metre-long Bayeux-style tapestry, complete with all the family feuds and bloody battles stitched in. Everything that makes Game of Thrones such a massive global hit.
Not only do fans get to relive all their favourite moments – they can go behind the scenes on location, exploring everything from Northern Ireland’s Titanic Studios to Winterfell itself.
“Our Game of Thrones Tapestry app is the ultimate treat for all fans of the show,” said Rich Wand, Head of Customer Experience at Hugo & Cat.
Built in just 4 weeks and gaining full approval from HBO, the web app is available on Ireland.com in 6 languages across 24 countries.
"Although it's still early days, we're already seeing some really positive results. 65,000 fans have explored the app in the first four days," said Kulvin Kailey, Data Planner at Hugo & Cat.
